Ariel Fox Johnson, Founder & Principal
Ariel Fox Johnson is a privacy attorney, professor, and technology policy expert. She has worked to ensure business readiness for global privacy, online safety, and data protection laws, advising on legal compliance and industry-leading best practices. She has extensive experience in educational and children’s privacy and emerging U.S. consumer laws. Ariel has helped shape policy and legislative debates around privacy and children’s digital well-being, briefing U.S. and international policymakers, industry, and community leaders on data privacy and platform questions. She has testified before the U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, and state legislatures across the country on how technology can be designed to better protect individuals. Ariel has spoken internationally on privacy and technology issues, and her insights have been featured in major news outlets, including NPR, The Atlantic, Politico, The Washington Post, and Bloomberg.
Ariel is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School. She is admitted to practice law in Ohio, New York, and Washington, DC.
Ariel is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Cleveland State University’s College of Law and a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (CIPP-US).
